RAIN ON ME...why shooting in a rain room is all the hype right now...

For many years now, as some of you know, when it comes to experiencing new adventures I’m always game. Ashley, my friend and photographer, and I were on the hunt recently for new material to put up on the blog. She came across a studio in DTLA that had a few rooms inside that we could shoot some new footage in. I was taken aback when I heard it had featured what’s called a “Rain Room”. The Rain Room was hands down, one of the coolest shooting experiences I have ever had. We jumped at the opportunity to shoot there when we heard they had an opening available for us. We had to book by the hour to give ourselves ample time and we went to WERK. FD Photo Studio is located in DTLA (1808 South Hill Street) and offers incredible rooms to use creatively with your friends. The Rain Room felt like the ultimate experience because it honestly felt like I was taking a warm shower lol. The knobs are located in the walls and you literally just turn the rain on like a normal shower, adjusting both the pressure and temperature; the room was a little chilly so I opted to keep it nice and warm. We got some incredible shots and I felt like I was on the set of a music video. If you are looking for some great new photos, or you just want to have some fun with your friends, you should definitely check out studios in your area. Most likely, they will feature a rain room as well! If you live in Los Angeles, FD Photo Studio is the place to be.
