I love summers in California because it is the perfect time for nearby getaways. I am not always one to go abroad during the summer season as I love to take advantage of what the golden coast has to offer. This past weekend, I did a road trip with the husband out to the desert and had a blast in Palm Springs. I always love to visit here because what’s better than lounging poolside when the heat is turned up! (109 degrees to be precise). We had an absolute ball, especially because we stayed right in the heart of downtown and could walk everywhere! We had a killer staycation at The Palm Mountain Resort & Spa and it exceeded our expectations in every category! Everything from the friendly customer service right down to fantastic spa located on the property, it was such an enjoyable and memorable experience for us. THE PROPERTY

Location! Location! Location! This piece of paradise is located near the downtown area and is perfect for those who like to walk everywhere. If you’ve never been, Palm Springs is extremely spread out so the fact that you can walk to many restaurants, shops, bars, and nightlife is an amazing luxury! As you enter the lobby, you feel like you stepped right into vacation mode. Tucked away off of the main strip, this place is great if you want to detach from the world and have some peace and quiet. The property has an amazing and lively pool where you can relax and unwind with your friends and family. A path lined by grapefruit trees and lovely fire pits surrounds the pool.

The Rooms

There are precisely 142 rooms on-site that are spacious, comfortable, and blasting with amazing air conditioning! I know this may sound funny but when you’re in the desert during those summer scorchers, having a powerful air conditioning unit is top priority. Our room came equipped with two large double beds (they also have rooms with King beds), a sitting area complete with a couch and table, state of the art amenities, and a walk-in shower. The rooms on the property are either guestrooms or suites so there is plenty of space for everyone! Many of the rooms have patios or balconies with amazing views of a beautiful Palm Springs mountain directly behind the property. Everything we needed was right in the comfort of our room! Such a wonderful stay!

The Spa

I had the pleasure of experiencing their amazing spa and it was extremely calming and refreshing. I treated myself to their Skin Perfecting Facial which left my skin totally hydrated and soft; ideal for that dry desert heat. They only use natural ingredients that are both organic and cruelty-free. The spa offers everything from massages, facials, waxes and body treatments, all to make your experience rejuvenating and refreshing.
