TreeHouses: The new way to vacation around the world!

Growing up with two older sisters, we wanted to impress the boys by building our own treehouse to host slumber parties with friends. It was a childhood dream of mine to have a treehouse and swing set that we could call our own. My dad is pretty handy so it was an enjoyable project for him to build one for his daughters. I still recall the day I laid eyes on it… it was the treehouse and swing set of my dreams. It actually surpassed my dreams since it also had a slide on the side of the house! When I was younger I always imagined that I would stay in a treehouse as an adult but I didn’t know where to find one. When I did some research about treehouses of the world, there were numerous places around the globe that offered them. Washington seemed like the ideal place to stay in one because of the surrounding woods and peaceful ambiance that it offered. The Wellspring Spa & Retreat, located right outside of Mount Rainier National Park, was my first ever stay inside a treehouse and it felt like a dream, one that I did not want to wake up from. If you’re really looking to get away from it all, this is your place. The rain poured hard the night I stayed in it which made the experience much more magical as I listened to the pitter-patter of the raindrops on the roof. I think staying in a treehouse is a new way for people to vacation. Check it out below…

The Treehouse at Wellspring Spa & Retreat

When researching the perfect treehouse for my trip, The Wellspring Spa & Retreat was one of the first results that came up and I immediately booked it. It is one of the prettiest properties I have ever visited and it served as an ideal location for my first stay inside a treehouse. Situated in the middle of a forest and surrounded by a few hiking trails, it was an unforgettable place. As you approach your new temporary home, you will be greeted by a staircase with a cute breakfast nook at the bottom. As you walk up the staircase, you will notice the two large fir trees holding the entire structure. When you walk inside the room, you will see an enchanted place with a queen size bed, a refrigerator, and a microwave. It also has a coffee maker for those serene mornings when you want to sit on the porch and listen to the sounds of nature. In case you were wondering where to find a bathroom in a treehouse, you will find it located on the bottom floor. This place is perfect for your inner child to come out and play! Price: $165 per night plus tax for two guests.

The Spa

The Wellspring Spa & Retreat have a few other amenities on the property that are well worth a visit. The spa is another reason I was attracted to the site. They have a private outdoor hot tub on the property that faces the magical moss trees. How cool is that? As I sat in the hot tub during my visit (you can book it by the hour), the rain came down and I had a moment of pure bliss. In all honesty, I shed a tear because it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. To book your experience at their spa, click HERE!
