Memorial Day Weekend at the Melrose Farmers Market!
LA is notorious for having some of the best farmers markets in the country because many of the California farms come and bring all their fresh vegetables and fruits to display. This past weekend, I popped into the Melrose Place Farmers Market and it was charming, to say the least. They had everything from the West Coast Avocado Toast to a pop-up clothing shop inside a van. A man played the sweet sounds on his guitar while people walked their dogs and picked up their items for the week. Melrose Place is a famous shopping street in LA and many of us like to go and people watch. If you live in Mid-City or just simply visiting, the Farmers Market on Melrose is a great place to be.
WONDERING: WHAT TO PURCHASE AT THE FARMERS MARKET! MY FAVORITE ITEMS!
- My favorite item was the West Coast Avocado Toast booth. For $10, they made one hell of an avocado toast with some eggs, lemon zest, and topped it off with some spice. The bread was incredibly fresh and it was filling.
- Flowers: I don't know about you but I am the biggest Flower Child. I love to buy fresh flowers at least once a month to brighten up the rooms in my home. The Farmers Market is the best place to purchase because the bouquets are beautiful, particularly the sunflowers.
- Pick up some fresh baked breads from the Old Village Bakery. I picked up the light sourdough rye and it's mouth-watering delicious.
