Mount Baldy: A short trip out of LA

Now that the holidays are in full swing, everyone’s anxiety levels are through the roof and the hustle and bustle around the city is pretty wild. What is it about the holiday season that has us wanting to rip our hair out or reach for that 3rd glass of Cabernet? The holidays for me have already been a little nutty and this past weekend so I needed to get out of the city and rejuvenate my spirit. Nature was indeed calling my name. My friend told me about a cute little town on the outskirts of LA known as Mount Baldy. I did some research on the town and drove out there for the day. It was exactly what I needed! Mount Baldy is located in the San Gabriel Mountains and is surrounded by the Angeles National Forest. Known for it’s beautiful hikes and trails, Mount Baldy has established itself as a place where there are fewer crowds and it’s a 15 minute drive off of the 57 freeway. It served as the perfect backdrop for this week’s photos and I discovered some of the charms it offered including The Mt. Baldy Lodge Restaurant and The Notch Restaurant (which you can get to only by riding the ski lift). Super cool! When I arrived up there, the air was crisp and chilly, absolutely fabulous for the holiday outfits I wanted to share. Tis’ the season to be Merry!
